I-11 & Intermountain West Corridor Study

Study Partners and Stakeholders Involvement

The I-11 & Intermountain West Corridor Study was a high priority for NDOT and ADOT, which pooled their resources and jointly managed the study. The metropolitan planning organizations in the greater Las Vegas and Phoenix areas (Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and Maricopa Association of Governments), the Federal Highway Administration and the Federal Railroad Administration were actively involved in the study, and together with the sponsoring agencies of NDOT and ADOT, formed the Core Agency Partners.

Interested public agencies, non-profit organizations and private interest groups were invited to participate in a Stakeholder Partners group that provided data and other input throughout the process.

In addition, Focus Groups were formed with subject matter experts from the Core Agency Partners and Stakeholder Partners. These groups were asked to provide data and input into specific topic, and to make recommendations for the Study Team to consider.
